About Weir Media

Weir Media is a well established web agency operating from the Roseland Peninsula in Cornwall, offering websites, custom programming and a range of computer and web based services across Cornwall.  We are always looking ahead to new technologies and services and keep up with the latest web technologies, products and services.

We are advocates of Linux and open source software and choose not use off the shelf web authoring software such as Adobe Dreamweaver, Microsoft Frontpage and Expression web. These programs tend to produce bloated and inaccurate code. Instead we hand code our sites using html, php, css and javascript which produces a much cleaner and quicker product.

Our ethos is simple. We deliver a quality competitively priced product according to our clients exact specifications.

The Team:

Alastair Weir. The Founder of Weir Media, Alastair's the public face of of the business and he'll be one one you meet if you work with us. Day to day he's the project manager, graphical designer and front end developer.

Keith Drakard. With over 17 years experience of online design and development, Keith is our coding guru and has extensive experience in almost all disciplines including Cold Fusion, SQL, XML, Javascript, Perl, html, AJAX, PHP and CGI to name but a few. With extensive commercial experience, in the past Keith's worked on projects for client such as GlaxoSmithKline, Freeserve, Barclays and BT Research Labs.

Mike Hills. An accomplished freelancer, Mike's expertise lies in open source Content Management Systems and Shopping Carts, such as Joomla, Drupal, Wordpress, Magento, Open Cart and also develops custom CMS's.
